Information

The leak pen is a battery-operated, acoustic measuring and listening device for leak detection in pressurised water pipes up to 650ft in length.  The acoustic sensor picks up sounds from water pipes under inspection.  The leak is located at the point with the loudest sound.  The leak pen transmits audio signals to headphones using Bluetooth technology as well as providing LED illumination on the body of the pen.  The audio signal is continuously measured at one second intervals. The frequency range is 20Hz – 2000HZ and will filter out false positives such as traffic noise and noises from pumps etc.
